Tetronics participated at the Conference of Metallurgists (COM)
Tetronics participated at the 54th Conference of Metallurgists (COM) this August, in Toronto, Canada.
The Conference of Metallurgists (COM) is an annual event that aims to provide a forum for sharing technical knowledge and exploring issues of sustainability in the hydrometallurgy field.
The theme of the 54th conference was ‘Sustainability in Metals and Materials Processing and Use’. A unique aspect of this was a special symposium held to honour women who have made substantial contributions to the Canadian metallurgical, materials and mining industry.
This year, the COM also be co-hosted the first America’s Conference on Aluminum Alloys (AMCAA), with a focus on the aluminum alloys used in transportation. Issues around sustainability of both metals and materials manufacturing and use are woven into the conference technical symposia and are opportune areas to explore as we enter a global era of material constraint.
Mr Peter Keeley shall be spoke on ‘Platinum and Rhenium Recovery from Pt-Re Reforming Catalysts via Plasma Arc Technology’, on behalf of Tetronics.
